Ramgarh is located at a height above sea level of 1789 mts.An clear view of the snow-covered ranges of the Himalayas.
The famous poets Rabindra Nath Tagore and social worker Narain Swami had established ashrams over here. There is a library it’s dedicated to the Mahadevi Verma. Mahadevi Verma gets the idea to writing famous story of Lachim in Ramgarh.
Chauli ki Jali – Chauli ki Jali is an adventures spot. It is a rocky cliff behind the Mukteshwar temple. It looks very dangerous, so be careful at here. This place is also named the suicide point. From Chauli Ki Jali one can view the valley of Saherfatek, Kaladungi Ramnagar and many more places. According to local conviction, if you make wishes at here, they are fulfilled.
How to reach Mukteswar:
One can easily travel by car in 09-10 hrs to Mukteswar. All you have to do is follow this route: Start at ISBT road (3.79 kilometers) take NH 24 and continue towards Muradabad (153.11 kilometers), proceed towards Rampur (32 kilometers), turn towards Rudrapur on SH 87(47 kilometers), go straight towards Haldwani(32 kilometers) and last but not the least proceed towards Bhimtal on SH 37(25 kilometers). Bhimtal to Mukteswar 45 kilometers.
Mukteswar is 80 kilometers from Kathgodam railway station.
Kathgodam is 8 hours of train run from Sarai Rohella (Old Delhi). Two trains are directly available. Ranikhet Express leaves Delhi at 10.50 p.m. to reach Kathgodam at 6.15 a.m. (next morning). And the other one is Sampark Kranti, leaves Delhi at 3.30 p.m. to reach Kathgodam by 10.30 p.m. the same night.
